The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't have the services of wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. In Week 10 and his Week 11 status remains up in the air.

Thomas Jr. Was sidelined on Sunday due to an ankle injury he suffered in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

His absence was the first one for the Jaguars receiver this season.

"BT, he can roll, and he rises to playing against these guys; he has in the past and had a huge moment for us in that game last time to seal that victory," Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said last week. "So not having him is a big deal for us, and those guys are going to continue to have to step up again this week and go make some dirty, grimy, contested plays, and that's the kind of game it's going to have to be."

As we turn the page to Week 11, there is optimism surrounding Thomas Jr.'s status for the matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Here are the latest updates.

Brian Thomas Jr. Injury update

Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports that Thomas Jr. Was s potted on the practice field on Wednesday, which amounts to an upgrade for him after he didn't practice at all last week.

"Returned: B. Thomas, E. Cleveland, B. Strange (IR window open)," O'Halloran reported.

Will Brian Thomas Jr. Play in Week 11?

While there remains no definitive answer to this question yet, for now it appears he's on track to suit up.

Thomas Jr. Will likely be listed as a limited or full participant based on O'Halloran's report, so that puts him on track to play after he didn't participate in any capacity in Week 10.

We will get an official answer on Thomas Jr.'s practice participation when Jacksonville puts out its first injury report later in the day on Wednesday.

Thomas Jr.'s return will be particularly huge after the Jaguars lost wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter for the rest of the season following his surgery to repair an LCL injury.

Hunter's injury opens the door for more work for Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers. Thomas Jr. Still figures to operate as Jacksonville's No. 1 wideout, although he has struggled immensely this season, so his role isn't secure.
