The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to a solid 2-1 start to the 2025 NFL season, and they're set for a tough Week 4 test as they travel to the Bay Area to take on the 3-0 San Francisco 49ers.
On the surface, it has been a relatively quiet start to the season for No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter. He's caught 10 passes for 76 yards through the first three games of his career and was targeted just twice in Week 3. Hunter's defensive workload has increased weekly, and he saw 68 percent of snaps on that side of the ball in his last outing.
The Jaguars are still figuring out the best way to employ their 22-year-old rookie, as head coach Liam Coen recently said Hunter will "probably" only play in the slot and at cornerback, though they have mixed in some special teams reps as well.
