This stat gives hope for Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevor Lawrence connection with Jaguars image

Maybe, just maybe, things will be OK for the Jacksonville Jaguars when it comes to the connection between Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevor Lawrence.

The star wide receiver and his QB got off to a brutal start to the season, but in the last couple weeks, things have been better, and now they get a friendly matchup in Week 5.

The good news already for the Jags is they're 4-1. They just upset the Kansas City Chiefs in a game in which Thomas caught a touchdown and Lawrence had an epic, stumbling, bumbling TD run to win it.

And things are looking up for their QB1-WR1 together.

That says that in the first three weeks of the season, Thomas caught less than a third of the passes thrown his way by Lawrence.

In Weeks 4 and 5, Thomas has caught more than two-thirds of the passes coming his way.

And now they get to oppose the Seattle Seahawks. The Buccaneers beat Seattle in Week 4, 38-35.

In that game, Baker Mayfield went 29-for-33 passing, facing almost no problems the entire game.

If Lawrence is able to put together a line like that, with his newly strengthened connection with Thomas, it could be a fun day all around for the Jags.
