The Jaguars enter 2025 on the back of a disappointing campaign last year, finishing 4-13 and making big changes to the organization in the offseason.
Jacksonville made a huge splash at the draft by trading up to select two-way superstar prospect Travis Hunter at No. 2 overall. Liam Coen is the new head coach and James Gladstone is the general manager.
Hunter is coming off a Heisman-winning season at Colorado, where he featured as both a cornerback and wide receiver. His ceiling point? The potential to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Rookie of the Year or even both.
However, in going all-in for the prospect, the Jaguars ignored holes in their roster after being below-average in defense and offense last season. While they have made some additions, they could be the foundation for a championship in the future, but an immediate jump into the playoffs will be a big ask.
They are in a weak AFC South division along with teams such as the Titans and the Colts. But getting the better of the Texans will be tough, as they have won back-to-back division titles.
hey will have to take advantage of a weak AFC South that includes a rebuilding Titans team and a Colts team at a crossroads. However, the Texans will be tough to topple after winning the division in each of the past two seasons.
