Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. received the news on Tuesday that he lost the quarterback competition to Daniel Jones and will be the backup in Indianapolis in 2025.

As a result, his future with the organization is up in the air. Richardson’s agent, Deiric Jackson, spoke to ESPN’s Stephen Holder about what the future could hold.

While Jackson didn’t go as far as to demand a trade out of Indianapolis, he did say that the relationship between the team and his client is fractured.

"Trust is a big factor and that is, at best, questionable right now," Jackson said. “We have a lot to discuss.”

Jackson remarked that Richardson has done everything right this offseason.

"Anthony came back and made the improvements in the areas he needed to improve,” he said. “And by all accounts, he had a great camp."

The 23-year-old’s agent remained adamant that his client’s playmaking ability is what separates him from the pack and was a big reason why the Colts were able to pull out some tight victories.

"When they needed a big play last year," he said, "whose hands did they put the ball in? Anthony's."

While his representation is of the opinion that Richardson’s situation needs resolving, Richardson himself is holding no grudges.

“That’s the decision we gotta live with,” he said. “But no hard feelings, nothing personal.
