There is some concern about the status of rookie Indianapolis colts tight end Tyler Warren this week after he popped up on the injury report on Wednesday.

Taken with the No. 14 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Warren is off to a promising start to his career after tallying 76 and 79 yards, respectively, over his first two games in the league.

However, based on the Colts' Wednesday injury report, Warren's availability for the Week 3 contest against the Tennessee Titans is in doubt.

Here's the latest.

Tyler Warren injury update

UPDATE: The Colts' injury report has Warren listed as limited for Thursday, which is an upgrade in his participation from the day before.

That puts Warren on track to play on Sunday.

UPDATE: Great news, as Warren was practicing on Thursday. We'll get his official level of participation later in the day.

END OF UPDATE

Warren did not practice on Wednesday and is listed with a toe issue. This is a new injury for the rookie, who was not on the injury report in Week 1 or 2.

While not a great sign for his Week 3 availability, it's far too early to panic. If we don't see an uptick in his participation on Thursday, then we can start to worry.

Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan noted that while he didn't participate, Warren was on the sideline observing practice, so that's positive news. If he was that injured, Warren likely would have been inside the building rather than outside watching practice.

Bowen adds that Warren's 66 snaps in Week 2 were "one of the highest numbers a Colts tight end has ever played," so load management could be a factor in Warren sitting out on Wednesday.

It's also worth noting that head coach Shane Steichen did not mention Warren in his injury updates before practice.

The Colts will release their next injury report on Thursday, so we'll have a better idea about the rookie then. As of right now, we haven't seen enough to be concerned about his status just yet.
