The Indianapolis Colts are signing former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton to their practice squad, per Jordan Schultz.
The transaction comes just a day after the Colts routed the Tennessee Titans 42-10 to win their third straight game. During Sunday’s victory, however, Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II left the game with a calf injury.
According to Ian Rapoport, Moore is expected to miss “a few weeks.” Tests are still ongoing, so the severity of the injury is unknown, but there is optimism he avoided anything serious.

For depth, the team is signing veteran CB Mike Hilton to their practice squad.
Good news for the Colts, but with Moore now joining Jaylon Jones on the sideline with an ailment, bringing in Hilton makes sense.
The signing is a near perfect match, too. Hilton and Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo spent four seasons together in Cincinnati, where Hilton was a key component of Anarumo’s defensive scheme.
The 31-year-old recorded six interceptions, two sacks, 36 tackles for loss and 24 passes defended working under Anarumo as the Bengals won two AFC North titles and made a Super Bowl appearance.
Clearly, as the Colts continue their hot start to 2025, Hilton’s experience in big games can come in handy down the line. But he has to prove his worth first, and Hilton will have a chance to do so as he fills in for Moore over the next few weeks.
The Colts next opponents are the Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers, all of whom have dangerous receiving weapons. Hilton will have his hands full, but will be just as motivated to earn his stripes and potentially find his way onto the active roster.
