This was a surprise.
When the Indianapolis Colts released their injury report on Wednesday, rookie tight end Tyler Warren was on it.
Warren was listed as having a toe injury. He did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
The No. 14 overall pick in this year's draft played through the end of the Colts' Week 2 win over the Broncos, so it's not immediately clear when the injury popped up.

Is Tyler Warren playing in Week 3?
Tyler Warren's status for Week 3 remains up in the air.
His DNP at Wednesday's practice will make it crucial for him to get some practice time in on Thursday and Friday to have his best chance of taking the field against the Tennessee Titans.

Warren did speak with reporters Wednesday in the locker room availability, according to Pro Football Talk, which likely means his injury isn't too serious.
The former Penn State star had seven catches in Week 1 and added four more in Week 2. He's been a focal point of the Colts' offense so far.
Indy is 2-0 and will certainly feel good about its chances of staying undefeated for another week if Warren can heal up and get back on the field.
