The Indianapolis Colts had a dominant first half against the Miami Dolphins, taking a 20-0 lead into halftime.

It was nearly a perfect half of football for the Colts. Quarterback Daniel Jones had the offense on a roll while Lou Anarumo’s new-look defense has caused problems for Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins.

But Anarumo’s defense was dealt an injury blow. Cornerback Jaylon Jones, who battled a hamstring injury throughout training camp, left the game in the first half with the same ailment. The Colts designated him as questionable to return as he was seen walking with the training staff to the locker room

There is nothing to suggest it’s the same hamstring which Jones injured this summer, but regardless, it’s another injury to a secondary which has already dealt with plenty of them in 2025.

The Colts lost safety Hunter Wohler (foot) and cornerback Jusitn Walley (torn ACL), two rookies, to season-ending injuries in preseason. JuJu Brents, who Indy waived at the roster deadline, also had a hamstring injury in training camp which led to his eventual departure from the team.

Additionally on Sunday, Charvarius Ward was seen entering the blue medical tent with what appeared to be a left arm issue, but was able to return

Still, the Colts secondary is too important to Anarumo’s scheme to be dealing with this many injury issues. We won’t know the severity of Jones’ injury for a bit, but any time missed at all would be an unnecessary obstacle for Indianapolis.
