With Stranger Things the hot thing right now, Indianapolis Colts fans could be forgiven for thinking they've walked into the Upside Down with the latest news about their team.

With Daniel Jones lost for the season with an Achilles injury, and Riley Leonard now the starter, it appears the Colts are in desperation mode to fix their quarterback situation.

How desperate?

Well, according to NFL Network's Ina Rapoport, the Colts are bringing in eight-time Pro Bowler and 44-year-old quarterback Philip Rivers for a workout at the facility on Tuesday

Yes, you read that right, this is not a drill, folks.

The potential Hall of Famer, who hasn't played since 2020, will be looked at by the Colts coaching staff as this 2025 season just takes another incredible twist for the Colts.

Could Rivers move work?

That will be what the organization is asking itself.

The Colts have a solid offensive line, a star running back, and a group of decent weapons, but Rivers hasn't played in four years, and he wasn't the most nimble quarterback in his playing days either.

Now 44 years old, that will likely still be the case, but this is a throw at the stumps for a Colts team that went all in on 2025 with the addition of Sauce Gardner, only to have the whole thing blow up with Jones' injury.

This is undoubtedly a left-field move, but one that might work depending on how the workout goes on Tuesday.

Stranger things have happened, but this is one final attempt to get the 2025 season back on track.
