What Packers' OC said about Tucker Kraft's knee injury after practice on Thursday image

The Green Bay Packers had an injury scare on Thursday after tight end Tucker Kraft exited practice early with a knee issue.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the good news is that the injury is not believed to be serious, and multiple beat writers have reported the same.

That said, Kraft's Week 3 status is now in serious doubt, as mid-week injuries are always a bad sign for a player's availability for an upcoming game.

Nevertheless, that's a minor problem in the grand scheme of things. The most important thing is Kraft doesn't miss a significant amount of time.

After practice, Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich had this to say:

“Hopefully he’ll be alright, but we’ll kind of just see how it goes," Stenavich said, per The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.

Tucker Kraft injury update

On the Packers' Thursday injury report, Kraft was listed as a limited participant, but that is the typical designation given to a player who leaves practice early, so it does not indicate the severity of his injury in any way.

Now, the next step for Kraft is to undergo some tests. Hopefully we get a positive update sooner rather than later, but there may not be an update until tomorrow considering how late in the day it happened.

Kraft's injury comes just days after he had a career-best game in the Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders. It was Kraft's first 100-yard showing and he ultimately finished with six catches for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Green Bay will need Luke Musgrave and its wide receivers to step up if Kraft can't go on Sunday.
