The Green Bay Packers are closely monitoring the status of tight end Tucker Kraft after he exited Thursday's practice with a knee injury.
Kraft suffered the injury to his left knee, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, although it is not believed to be serious.
After that news broke, Rapoport offered another injury update on Kraft and it is thankfully positive.
Tucker Kraft injury update
According to Rapoport, Kraft's knee "checked out OK" after tests were done and he only suffered "a little tweak."
That is certainly good news for Kraft, who has become an immensely important part of the Packers' offense since his breakout campaign last season.
What we don't know is how long Kraft will be out. It's fair to assume he might not suit up this week out of caution, but that has not been confirmed.
On that front, The Athletic's Matt Schneidman and Dianna Russini report that there's still a chance Kraft plays in Week 3.
Kraft had the best game of his young career in Week 2. The former third-round pick posted 124 receiving yards on six catches in the 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders last Thursday, which was his first 100-yard game.
Last season, Kraft cemented himself as an up-and-coming tight end with 50 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, all of which were career-highs.
If Kraft is forced to miss time, backup tight end Luke Musgrave will be the next man up. A fellow 2023 draft pick, Musgrave has two catches for 32 yards this season.
