Packers' WR Jayden Reed gets awful injury update after leaving game with shoulder problem image

When Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed left Thursday night's game against the Washington Commanders with a shoulder injury, he was called questionable to return almost immediately.

By the opening stages of the second half, Reed was officially ruled out.

Reed won't play again in Week 2.

The injury occurred on a reception that didn't count due to a penalty.

Reed ran a corner route, and Jordan Love found him near the right pylon for a touchdown.

But an offensive penalty brought it back, and meanwhile, Reed was down.

He was driven hard into the ground on his right arm and shoulder.

Reed came up holding his shoulder area. It wasn't immediately clear whether it was a collarbone or shoulder problem.

The speedster got up and hustled off the field and straight to the locker room, but his right arm appeared to be hanging low.

The Packers still have Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Matthew Golden, in addition to Malik Heath. So their passing game will probably be fine.

But any of Reed's gadget plays go out the window with him out, or they could be given to Savion Williams.
