Is Micah Parsons playing tonight? Latest injury update on Packers linebacker image

For the second straight week, the status of Green Bay Packers superstar linebacker Micah Parsons is up in the air.

After being questionable last week before ultimately suiting up and playing limited snaps, Parsons is in the same boat going into a Thursday night matchup versus the Washington Commanders.

Parsons turned in all limited practices throughout the week, which is exactly what he did last week. However, this time around, the Packers have a short week, so it's not exactly a given that Parsons plays with Green Bay trying to be careful.

Here's a look at what we know about his status for Week 2.

Is Micah Parsons playing tonight?

There is no official word on Parsons yet, and that won't come until inactives are released an hour and a half before kickoff. That said, we can make an educated guess.

As we already mentioned, Parsons is questionable after practicing on a limited basis three times over the course of the week. As of this writing, there has been nothing to suggest he won't suit up after following the same path last week.

It'll be interesting to see how many snaps he's going to get. Parsons played just 30 snaps last week, or a 45% share. That is a little more than half of what he has averaged in his career.

Chances are Parsons may see an uptick in snaps, but we still wouldn't expect a full complement for the four-time Pro Bowler as the team continues to ease him in thanks to his injury and lack of a full training camp.

Even still, that'll be more than enough for him to make an impact, something we saw in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions when he tallied two pressures and one sack.

Green Bay and Washington will square off on Thursday night, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on Prime Video.
