Sometimes, you just have to wonder what was going through someone's head.
Like the fan over the weekend who jumped out of the stands to run onto an NFL sideline after an NFL player.
Seriously. That happened.
If you missed it, a Commanders fan appeared to have a verbal exchange with Lions long-snapper Hogan Hatten. And then moments later, that fan was hopping out of the stands, onto the sideline and making an apparent beeline toward Hatten.
It took security about two seconds to bring him down.
That fan has, as you'd expect, been banned for life from home Commanders games.

Not super high grades here for quickness, or evasiveness, or football IQ.
What in the world did he think was going to happen?
There is a bit of intrigue about what Hatten said. It was apparently just enough to get this guy riled up.
It's still inexcusable behavior. And it didn't end well for the fan.
