The Denver Broncos won their 10th straight game on Sunday, improving to 11-2 after a 24-17 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. On the offensive end, RJ Harvey led the way with 100 all purpose yards and a touchdown. Courtland Sutton reeled in six catches for 62 yards while quarterback Bo Nix added a rushing touchdown of his own.
The Broncos' special teams unit also performed, as wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. Scored a touchdown on a 48-yard punt return.
As for the defense, Denver's unit looked solid all day, limiting Geno Smith to one score, a 15-yard touchdown pass to Brock Bowers in the first quarter. The Raiders would be held scoreless until the fourth after Kenny Pickett led Las Vegas on two scoring drives after Smith left the game due to injury.
That said, the scoring surge proved to be too late as Denver held on to win another one possession game.
After the game, head coach Sean Payton spoke to the media and reassured them that Denver is prepared for the battle to come. "They're well aware of what they're playing for," Payton said.
This of course eludes to the race for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The New England Patriots had a bye week this past weekend, but also sit at 11-2 on the year. With a first-round bye granted to only the No. 1 seed in each conference, both Denver and New England will be battling for that honor as the final month of the regular season approaches.
