The Denver Broncos are 8-2, sitting atop the AFC West and tied atop the standings in the conference, and across the entire NFL. It's been an incredible season so far, and there's plenty of room for it to get even better.

In Week 11, the Broncos face the Kansas City Chiefs, and with a chance to further increase their division lead before a Week 12 bye, the Broncos are getting some extra help on offense for Bo Nix.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Broncos are signing a wide receiver who played in Denver for some time off the New York Giants' practice squad. Despite a late add, this familiar WR is set to play a role in Week 11 against the Chiefs.

"Source: Broncos are signing WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey off the Giants' practice squad," Schefter reports. "Humphrey is now returning to Denver, and he is likely to play Sunday vs. The Chiefs."

The 27-year-old receiver has spent time with four teams in his seven-year NFL career. He began with the New Orleans Saints from 2019 to 2021, before joining the New England Patriots for a year, and then signing with the Broncos in 2022 and 2023, before joining the Giants for 2025.

But, after a very brief stint with the Hiants, Humphrey is returning to the Broncos, where he had the most success in the NFL.

In the two years he played for the Broncos, he played in 34 games, logging 44 receptions, 455 yards, and four touchdowns on 64 targets. In 2024, with Nix, Humphrey caught 31 passes for 293 yards and one touchdown in his best season in the NFL.

Humphrey's connection with Nix will be a nice addition to the wide receiver room, one that needs an upgrade. While Humphrey likely won't start over Courtland Sutton or Troy Franklin, his addition to the roster is a key depth piece.

Marvin Mims is banged up, and Pat Bryant is still a rookie who's yet to play significant time for the Broncos this season. Humphrey knows the offense and has a connection with Nix. For a late-season addition, he makes a lot of sense.

Sean Payton is adding an experienced receiver for a huge week against the Chiefs, as they could send Kansas City to a 5-5 record, putting their playoff hopes at risk.

Humphrey will play for Denver in Week 11, and he should help Nix and the offense get going against a tough Chiefs defense.
