Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott could face a nightmare matchup when he squares off against his former teammate Micah Parsons on Sunday.
The Green Bay Packers have reportedly devised a plan designed to leave the Cowboys unsure of what's coming and struggling to respond.
On Friday, CBS Sports' Jordan Dajani wrote:
"Parsons will be motivated to terrorize his former team, but how will the Packers use him? According to NFL Media, expect Parsons to be 'unleashed' as far as his snap count goes. The Packers are also expected to move Parsons around on defense like Dan Quinn did during his time as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator. It sounds like Parsons will be utilized differently compared to Weeks 1-3."
Prescott has only faced Parsons in training sessions over the past few years. Now, he's about to experience firsthand what other QBs endure when they face the pass rusher on game day.
Parsons admitted it will be "painful" to sack Prescott. Responding on Thursday, the quarterback said he hoped the experience wouldn't be painful for him.
"And I hope he doesn’t get to me at all," Prescott added.
The Cowboys (1-2) host Parsons and the Packers (2-1) at AT&T Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
