The big buildup between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys lived up to the hype, with the game ending in a 40-40 tie.

Now, for most, it was an unsatisfactory ending, but for some, it ended the way it should have, with both Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Micah Parsons proving their points: they needed each other.

The Cowboys proved once again how much they missed Parsons. Their pass rush was non-existent, as Packers quarterback Jordan Love lit up the Cowboys' defense for 337 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions.

Although the biggest moment in the game was the defense stripping Love of the ball and scoring later, which got the Cowboys back into a game many thought they’d be blown out.

Parsons’s leadership and presence were definitely missed by this team, especially in the end when Parsons stopped Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott from a game-winning touchdown, so Parsons was vindicated but so was Jerry Jones.

Jones was justified in trading Parsons. Parsons basicallyl made no major impact in this game and was still dealing with a back injury, which at times sidelined him throughout the game. He also seemed miserable having to face his old teammates, whom he loved and respected dearly.

While not happy about the tie, Jones wasn’t exactly upset about it either.

"Better than I could've felt…" Jones said via the team’s website. "I feel better than I could've felt, but worse than I could've felt as well…"

"It would've been great to have gone ahead and complete that smile and not had that tie and had that win under all of the circumstances… I wanted to win that game tonight. And I didn't want to lose it."

He added, "I like the way that we got ready to play him. We played him, we ran at him, but we knew he was there and he made a difference…" Jones said. "Whether we like it or not, I'll take my side of it, and Green Bay can have their side of it."

In the end, both sides had gotten their point across and felt vindicated, and the game ending in a tie only seems right.
