The Dallas Cowboys are still reeling from their embarrassing 30-27 loss to the Carolina Panthers, with the defense failing another test, putting enormous pressure on Matt Eberflus.
Offensively, the Cowboys are elite, and Dak Prescott has been in MVP-type form over the past month, and he's done it with a banged-up offensive line and no CeeDee Lamb.
Well, that might change this week.
After Cowboys COO Stephen Jones stated on 105.3 The Fan that Lamb, along with Tyler Booker and KaVontae Turpin, "have a chance to play" against the Washington Commanders, now comes head coach Brian Schottenheimer with a nice update on the star trio.
He said via The Athletic's Jon Machota that he is "hopeful" all three would return this week, adding, “We hope to see them on the practice field this week.”
So, Dak could get back two big weapons and his right guard for the Washington game, which is great, but as we know, Dallas' problems aren't on offense; it's defensively.

Cowboys' defense must make changes
Six weeks into the season, the defense is seen as one of the worst in football, and against the Panthers, receivers were running free, and Rico Dowdle pounded the defense into submission.
Is it scheme, personnel, or a little bit of both? Either way, changes have to be coming because the defense can't continue in this manner and waste what is becoming a top offense in football.
With the Commanders up next, Dan Quinn has an offense that can take this Cowboys defense to task with Jayden Daniels, so whatever changes Dallas makes, it's got to happen quickly because it puts the same sort of performance out on the field as it did against Carolina, Washington will walk out with a win.
