Cowboys-Eagles fight: NFC East rivals get into on-field scuffle after kickoff image

Things are getting nasty between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in the Week 1 game on Thursday night.

First, Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter spat on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, which led to his ejection from the contest.

Then, after the Eagles scored on their first offensive series, the two teams got into a brawl on the kickoff after Philly's extra point.

Two players got tangled up during the play, which led to both teams getting into it and multiple flags being thrown, both of which were tagged to the Cowboys.

What's bizarre about the penalties is the fact that nobody on the Eagles was hit with a flag despite one of them pulling off a Cowboys player's helmet.

The penalties obviously set the Cowboys back, but they were able to quickly recover and move the ball into Eagles territory. So, no harm, no foul.
