The Dallas Cowboys came into Week 14 with supreme confidence, having dispatched the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs in consecutive weeks, but the magic ran out.
The 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions saw the Cowboys be their own worst enemy in all three phases as the defense couldn't stop anything, the offense fumbled and intercepted its way to a poor showing, and special teams? The less said, the better.
It was a big moment for the Cowboys to perfectly cap off a terrific three-game stretch, but Brian Schottenheimer's team came undone on the national stage.
And CBS Sports' John Breech, who gave Dallas a "C" grade, states the team choked on Thursday night.
“The Cowboys were on a three-game winning streak heading into Thursday night, but they came crashing back to earth against Detroit,” Breech wrote. “The Cowboys (6-6-1) had a chance to get firmly back in the playoff race, but they choked it away.”

Will CeeDee Lamb play in Week 15?
Yes, it is early in the week, but things appear to be on track for Lamb and his ability to play on Sunday night.
Having suffered a concussion in the third quarter against Detroit, Lamb was ruled out of the game after a few minutes, and according to Stephen Jones on 105.3 The Fan, CeeDee has had "no setbacks," which is great to hear.
Of course, he'll still have to go through all the protocols before being cleared to play on Sunday night, but Lamb is tracking positively to suit up in what is another huge game for the Cowboys.
