Shedeur Sanders has a lot of fans.

That remains true even though he's currently only the No. 3 QB on the Cleveland Browns' depth chart in his rookie season out of Colorado.

And the proof is in the jersey sales.

He ranks No. 1 among rookies in sales, which is impressive enough considering the talented rookie class.

But even more remarkably, Sanders is No. 5 in the entire NFL in jersey sales.

The four players ahead of Sanders: Eagles superstars Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, Commanders phenom Jayden Daniels and Bills MVP Josh Allen. The data was released by the NFLPA.

The five players behind Sanders, ranking 6-10: Cooper DeJean, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Bo Nix and Jahmyr Gibbs.

The numbers provided by the players association are through the end of July, so there could've been some shifts as the preseason rolled along.

On the one hand, it's crazy to see Sanders ahead of three-time Super Bowl champion Mahomes and two-time MVP Jackson.

But on the other hand, that comes with the territory for Shedeur. He's been a polarizing but extremely popularizing figure long before entering the NFL.

He played his first preseason game last month in Charlotte, N.C. against the Carolina Panthers, and the stands were still filled with Colorado No. 2 jerseys and Cleveland No. 12 jerseys for him.

That'll likely be the story for as long as he sticks around the league, and if he happens to ascend to a starting spot, it should only rise.
