The Chicago Bears have been on a mission the last 10 weeks, going 9-1 over that span. Their offense has been slowly but surely getting better and better week after week.

This week against Philadelphia, while their passing game struggled, what we saw from the Bears' running game today was pure dominance. Both Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift accomplished something in Bears history that hasn’t been done since 1985.

By running for 100+ yards today, Kyle Monangai not only contributed to the above-mentioned Bears history, but he also set himself apart. Monangai accomplished this feat before any other RB in the draft class.

The 7th round draft pick for Chicago has been nothing but positive this season. Monangai has come in and given Chicago the perfect power back to pair alongside D’Andre Swift.

On the season, Monangai has 591 yards (3rd among rookies) and five rushing TDs (T-2nd among rookies). Today, he became the first rookie RB this season to put up multiple games of 100+ yards.

With Ben Johnson’s play-action offense and the emergence of Caleb Williams, it has opened the door for both Monangai and Swift. The running game has established itself as a force, and Chicago now finds itself with the 4th most rushing yards in the league.

If Monangai can continue to assist the offense as he has been, you could argue that the Bears have one of the better back fields in the NFL.
