The Chicago Bears (9-3) have continued their hot streak on Black Friday, beating the Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) with a final score of 24-15.
Chicago's running game was on a tear in the contest. The combination of running backs D'Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai combined for 155 rushing yards on 40 combined attempts, and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Caleb Williams tacked on a touchdown of his own while connecting with tight end Cole Kmet on a 28-yard score.
The Bears have made it five wins in a row, and they have inched even closer to becoming the top seed in the NFC.
Bears take over lone spot as the No. 2 seed in the NFC
The Bears have become one of the hottest teams in football, and first-year head coach Ben Johnson has introduced a new set of tricks for the team, which had struggled to achieve success in recent years.
After their win on Friday, the Bears broke their tie with the Eagles for the No. 2 seed in the NFC. Now, the only team that's in their way of becoming the No. 1 seed and securing home-field advantage in the playoffs is the Los Angeles Rams (9-2).
It will be a tough task at hand, as the Bears play the Green Bay Packers (8-3-1) twice, the San Francisco 49ers (8-4), and the Detroit Lions (7-5) in the final stretch of the regular season.
After a convincing win on Friday night, nobody is saying the Bears won't stop their winning streak.
It seems that the sky is the limit after winning nine of their last 10.
