The Chicago Bears will look to extend their three-game winning streak in a matchup against the struggling New Orleans Saints in Week 7.
Chicago mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat the Washington Commanders in Week 6, led by running back D'Andre Swift's breakout performance of 108 rushing yards, 67 receiving yards, and one touchdown.
However, it's been revealed that Swift's status for this Sunday's game is in question after picking up an injury.
D'Andre Swift (groin) limited at practice on Thursday, Week 7 status in question
D'Andre Swift, 26, has been one player apart of the Bears that's benefited from the hire of new head coach Ben Johnson. The two worked together when they were both a part of the Detroit Lions earlier in their careers, and now have been able to reunite in Chicago.
Through five games this season, Swift has 295 rushing yards, 152 receiving yards, and three total touchdowns. Heading into Week 7 against the Saints, it's been revealed that he's dealing with a groin injury and was limited in practice on Thursday, the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs announced.
Head coach Ben Johnson said that he is "hopeful" that Swift will be able to play in Week 7.
If Swift is unable to play this week, the Bears will look to rely on rookie running back Kyle Monangai and Roschon Johnson to take on the workload.
