The Buffalo Bills' offense has struggled over the last two weeks. After scoring 30+ points in each of their first four games, the Bills have scored 34 points combined in their last two games.
A 14-point performance in which the Atlanta Falcons put the clamps on the Bills' passing game has the fire alarms going off in Buffalo, and rightfully so. The comments Sean McDermott made after the game won't do anything to calm those sirens, as the usually vague head coach seemed to take a clear shot at offensive coordinator Joe Brady when asked about the struggles of the receivers and tight ends.
“I could feel what you’re saying," McDermott said via Matthew Bove. "It was too hard. It was too hard tonight for our quarterback and it doesn’t need to be that hard all the time.”
The Bills' receivers cannot get open. And while that has something to do with their own skill limitations, Brady hasn't done a good job of scheming guys open, either, and it's actively hurting Buffalo. Even if a trade does take place, there will still be a hard ceiling on the Bills.
