A former Buffalo Bills draft bust has signed with the worst team in the NFL.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Tennessee Titans are signing cornerback Kaiir Elam, who was waived by the Dallas Cowboys on November 22.

"The Titans signed CB Kaiir Elam, a former Bills first-round pick most recently with the Cowboys," Rapoport reported on X.

Elam hasn't lived up to his draft status since being the No.23 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Bills. The Florida product has been held back by injuries, but even when on the field, he's been a below-average player whom offenses look to pick on.

Following three disappointing seasons in Buffalo, Elam was traded to Dallas for a pair of Day 3 picks. However, his time with The Cowboys proved brief.

Elam played in 10 games, starting seven for Dallas before his release, recording 29 tackles and one pass defended. The 24-year-old also allowed three touchdowns and a 112.6 passer rating when targeted.

Following the departures of Jarvis Brownlee Jr. And Roger McCreary, along with L'Jarius Sneed, the Titans are incredibly thin at corner. Elam has the potential to become an immediate starter within Dennard Wilson's defensive scheme, offering an improvement over Tennessee's existing cornerbacks, Jalyn Armour-Davis and Darrell Baker Jr., with the injury to.

The Titans will assess if Elam can revive his NFL tenure and secure a position within Mike McCoy's 1-10 team. With Tennessee's season concluded, they're opting to give a chance to Elam, a young player previously selected in the first round.
