Early in his career, Josh Allen was a turnover waiting to happen.
The Buffalo Bills' QB came to the league with tantalizing talent but also a lack of control of his reckless side. Sometimes, the urge to make a play was too strong, and the football ended up with the other team.
Not anymore, though.
Now, Allen hardly ever turns the ball over, and because of that, the Bills are on an insane streak.
According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Bills have won the turnover battle in 24 consecutive games. That's an NFL record.

That's almost impossible to believe.
But the defense finds a way to get the football, and the offense finds a way to not give it up.
Starting running back James Cook, and his partners Ray Davis and Ty Johnson, protect the football. So too does Allen on his mad dash runs, including the 40-yard journey he made through the Jets defense on Sunday that ended with a stiff arm mostly for effect.

Other teams have return men who drop the ball or muff punts. But the Bills have been solid there, too, particularly with Brandon Codrington.
Maybe this is all a jinx to talk about a streak like this, but the Bills wouldn't have gone this long with such a performance without having all the right traits to keep it going.
One of these days, maybe the bounces and luck won't go Buffalo's way. But they've figured out how to value the football above anything else, and it's part of the reason they've been so good the last handful of years.
