Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman has started the 2025 season in good fashion, but as we know, it doesn't take much for things to go south.
Against the New England Patriots, Keon was benched for the first offensive series due to "disciplinary reasons," though the exact reason remains unclear. But for a player whom many have sung his praises all throughout the offseason, it is a little bump in the road in terms of his maturity and being a professional athlete.
And Keon was honest in talking about his benching.
"I wouldn't call it a setback, it's just a growing pain in a sense," Coleman said. "So yeah, it is frustrating because you know you're better than that as a person, an individual, and you don't like the things that it shows. Sometimes it might show that you don't care and things like that, and that's not the case, so you want to eliminate those things."

Bills' Keon Coleman knows how to bounce back
After his benching, Coleman came into the game against New England and had a costly fumble. But he made up for it with a late touchdown as his Week 5 game was the definition of a roller-coaster.
Still, with his benching at the forefront of people's minds, how will Keon go about making sure it doesn't happen again?
"Just being where I'm supposed to be, doing what I'm supposed to do, and showing that level of maturity," he added.
Now with all of that behind him, Keon will look to make amends with the Bills as they take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 and put on a good showing to put his benching firmly in the rearview mirror.
And we bet he'll do just that.
