James Cook now holds a Buffalo Bills franchise record.

That's not a bad way to spend Week 4 Sunday in Buffalo for the star running back.

The mark came late in the first quarter when Cook plunged his way in for a close-range rushing touchdown.

It's the eighth consecutive game in which Cook has run for a touchdown. No one in Bills history has ever done that before, according to ESPN.

Cook now has 21 rushing touchdowns since the start of the 2024 season, which leads the NFL.

On the record-setting drive, Cook got a handful of carries and totaled 29 yards. He was at his side-to-side shifting best to make defenders from the New Orleans Saints miss.

It's a cool moment for Cook, who had a shaky offseason.

It wasn't clear whether the Bills would give Cook a new contract. They extended pretty much everyone else on the same timeline as Cook but not the RB.

But by the end of August, Cook had a new contract.

It's a big deal, because the Bills like relying on Cook early and often, which they proved on Sunday.

And as long as he keeps finding the end zone, he'll be worth every penny.
