The Buffalo Bills have been called the bullies of the AFC East, with Josh Allen having a 32-13 record in his career against division opponents.

But he's 2-2 this year, and now the Bills, who are 6-3 after the Miami Dolphins debacle, are now far behind the 8-2 New England Patriots in the race for the division.

Plus, Buffalo has to travel to face the Patriots in Week 15, which could very well be for the division, given New England already beat Buffalo this season.

But according to ESPN, the Bills' odds to once again repeat as AFC East champs aren't good.

ESPN has Buffalo's division odds at just 29.3 percent, compared to 70.6 percent for the Patriots.

That says it all, really, about the current state of the Bills.

However, if there is a team that can turn it around and go on a barnstorming run, it's Buffalo. But right now, that looks unlikely to happen.

Bills face tough battle to overtake Patriots

The Bills most likely would need to win at least six of their last eight games, with one of them the Patriots, and hope New England falters down the stretch.

Granted, the Baltimore Ravens are on New England's schedule right after Buffalo, so that could be the two-week gap where the Bills could reel in the Patriots. It does seem unlikely, but then again, no one saw the Dolphins laying a beatdown on Buffalo, did they?

Things rarely go smoothly or as we expect in the NFL, so while the Patriots are sitting pretty right now, it doesn't take much for things to be turned upside down.

Which is exactly what Buffalo will be hoping for.
