The Buffalo Bills' 39-34 win over the Cincinnati Bengals will likely be remembered for Joe Burrow's two crippling interceptions on consecutive passes in the fourth quarter, but make no mistake, Josh Allen also played his role.
The touchdown throw to Khalil Shakir was one only a handful of quarterbacks can make; his absurd 40-yard touchdown run, and then his 17-yard scramble on third-and-15 to ice the game (pardon the pun) was a typical Allen play.
At 9-4, ahead of a crucial Week 15 AFC East showdown against the New England Patriots, analyst Rich Eisen has come up with a superb nickname for Allen after his efforts against the Bengals.
"How amazing is he?" Eisen said. "He's the Mandalorian quarterback, that's what he is. The Bills are now your five seed."
For reference, A Mandalorian is a warrior from the planet Mandalore in the Star Wars Universe, so yeah, it fits.

Allen puts on Superman cape in Bengals win
It hasn't come out much in the past 18 months, but against Cincinnati, the mild-mannered Clark Kent disappeared, and Superman joined the party in Buffalo.
Allen's ability to extend plays, evade defenders, and then deliver strikes was a feature, so too was the threat of him running, as two huge conversions in the fourth quarter helped his team stay within touching distance.
Allen's 40-yard touchdown run and then his 17-yard scramble to end the game were "typical" Allen plays, and it proves that this Bills team, with No. 17 in that sort of mood, is a serious Super Bowl threat.
And with the Patriots up next, I wouldn't bet against seeing Superman make an appearance at Gillette Stadium, either.
The Mandalorian quarterback is here.
