The Baltimore Ravens made the exciting move in the offseason to acquire former Green Bay Packers star Jaire Alexander.
Then they had the cornerback out there in Week 1 against the Bills despite a nagging knee injury.
But in Week 2, with a matchup Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, the Ravens have chosen to sit Alexander down.
He wasn't listed on the final injury report, but he's officially inactive.

Why isn't Jaire Alexander playing for Ravens vs. Browns?
The Ravens are giving Alexander a chance to get right.
The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec wrote this on X:
"Plenty of signs this week that was in the offing. Harbaugh talked about needing to get Alexander 'right.' DC Zach Orr talked about his confidence in Alexander being ready when he got his next (opportunity)."

Alexander also had a long morning workout Sunday, which pointed toward this outcome, too.
He wasn't at his best against the Bills, which may have raised some concern in Baltimore.
The Ravens are double-digit favorites against the Browns and should be able to win without Alexander. And this provides him a week to really heal up for good.
