It appears there is an injury concern with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson ahead of the Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns.
According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Jackson is not practicing as the team takes the field for its first session of the week on Wednesday.
"Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is NOT practicing today," Zrebiec reported.
As of this writing, it isn't clear if this is just a rest day for Jackson, or if his absence is injury-related. We'll have a better idea of what's going on when the Ravens drop their first injury report of the week later in the day.
Of course, the hope is it's just a maintenance day and Jackson is not dealing with something that could keep him out on Sunday.
ESPN's Jamison Hensley noted that Jackson "took some hard hits" in the win over the Minnesota Vikings, but there were no reports that he was dealing with an injury following the game.
Jackson has already missed three games this season due to a hamstring injury. He was able to get back on the field in Week 9 and the Ravens have won both of their games since.
Baltimore is on a three-game winning streak in total after managing to squeeze out a win with Tyler Huntley in Week 8.
It goes without saying the Ravens can ill-afford not to have Jackson on the field, as Baltimore is already in a dicey situation as far as their playoff hopes are concerned at 4-5.
Baltimore is, however, riding a head of steam as it continues to gain ground on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. The Steelers have lost three of their last four and are only one game up on the Ravens going into Week 11.
