Baltimore Ravens rookie outside linebacker Mike Green has just fulfilled a promise he made years ago. He bought a house for his mom. Green shared the emotional news on Instagram on Thursday.

The post included heartfelt gratitude for his family's struggles, from living in various places around Williamsburg, Virginia, to times without a permanent home.

"From living in every part of the Burg, from staying with (people), from hotel to hotel, from section 8, from years with no home, you always made a way to satisfy us," Green wrote. "I told you many times since a kid I'll buy you your own (house) and here we are years later standing on business! Many more (blessings) to come but (definitely) my biggest milestone."

The Ravens drafted Green with the 59th pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft, and in July, he secured his rookie deal. According to Spotrac, Green signed a four-year, $7,419,415 contract with the Baltimore Ravens, including $2,035,940 signing bonus, $4,871,004 guaranteed and an average annual salary of $1,854,854.

Now, Green is using his earnings to make meaningful investments in his family's future.

Green securing a spot on the Ravens' 53-man roster was expected. His real challenge now is moving up the depth chart. After Baltimore's 30-3 preseason win over the Washington Commanders, Green acknowledged the jump in competition.

He noted the players are bigger, faster and stronger in the NFL compared to college. Green added that the speed of the game and level of competition increase immensely since everyone is fighting for a job on the roster.
