The Baltimore Ravens' season is slipping away after a 17-3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, dropping them to 1-5, and the player they hoped would be able to steady the ship, Cooper Rush, was benched during the game.
With Rush going 11 of 19 for just 72 yards and an interception, Baltimore's coaching staff decided they had seen enough and benched Cooper for veteran Tyler Huntley. Huntley would go 10 of 15 for 68 yards as he tried to get something positive going for the Ravens, but like Rush, failed to get much going at all.
But given that he is the starter, and there were only two scores separating the two teams, was Rush surprised to be taken out of the game?
“Maybe," Rush said. "Probably yeah, you don't think you're coming out ever. But it's part of the deal. They wanted to put him in. He played great. You get tough going there in the fourth quarter after sitting around all day, and go there in two-minute drills, was impressive by Snoop."

Playoffs now tough for Ravens
With the Pittsburgh Steelers now moving to 4-1 and the Ravens at 1-5, yes, Lamar Jackson is expected to return in Week 7 after the team's bye, but you will be hard-pressed to find many who think that Baltimore can mount a run and make the playoffs.
Now, that doesn't mean they can't, but at 1-5, the margin for error is gone. It nearly has to be run the table type of form from the Ravens, and can we expect that from Lamar after having multiple weeks?
In truth, Ravens fans might have to because now winning is all that matters, and if they can't beat the Chicago Bears in what we think will be Jackson's return, it will be season over at 1-6 and it won't matter how many Lamar Jackson's they have, it will be nearly impossible to come back from that.
