The talk of college football has been what’s wrong with Arch Manning?

While Manning himself thinks it’s just a mental issue he is dealing with, Fox college football analyst Joel Klatt says it’s more than just mental issues going on with Manning.

Klatt seems to think it’s his style of play that is Manning’s problem.

He seems to think his footwork and arm strength is a major issue.

“I’m eating crow here. Arch has been really bad,” said Klatt when he made an appearance on the Birmingham, Alabama podcast, “The Next Round.”

“I don’t know what’s going on, the offense isn’t good quite around him as the offense was a year ago, they are banged up at running back, the offensive line is not great, you try to take all of that under consideration.”

But Klatt added, “I will tell you this, he is out of rhythm and off time. He’s ahead of the offense almost every snap. Timing plus spacing equals completions.”

Klatt went on to say that Manning's completion rate right now sits at 55 percent, but it’s worse beyond the line of scrimmage. Beyond the line of scrimmage, that drops to 46 percent.

Keep in mind, most of the teams Manning has played against so far this season, except for Ohio State, haven’t been world beaters, so he may be in trouble once they open SEC play.

Klatt says he doesn’t even know if any of his can be corrected.

“Is it fixable? I don’t know,”  he said. But the timing of the offense is totally off.”
