The 2025 college football season is officially underway, with No. 2 Penn State taking on unranked Nevada in Happy Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Penn State enters the game with high hopes after losing in the College Football Playoff semifinals to Notre Dame a year ago. As 42.5-point favorites, Penn State is expected to come away with an easy win, but the first game of the year always brings challenges to each team.

Nevada finished its season 3-10 a year ago, going 0-7 in the Mountain West. Penn State finished the year 13-3 and 8-1 in the Big Ten.
