Jerry Jones doubles down on Cowboys' Micah Parsons trade image

Dallas Cowboys fans are likely still distraught over the blockbuster trade that sent former Penn State star Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers last week.

Although they got a good return in the form of two future first-round picks and former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark, some analysts believe Dallas could've received more in compensation if they hadn't waited until August to trade away the Nittany Lion.

Someone who isn't too broken up about it, though, is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. In fact, he doubled down on the trade in a recent appearance on Good Morning America.

Jerry Jones Says 'I'll Take the Numbers Every Time'

In an exclusive sit-down interview with ABC News, Jones explained his reasoning for moving off Dallas' homegrown superstar pass rusher.

"There are two kinds of capital or currency in the NFL, one of them is draft picks, and the other is the financial, because every team is limited to the same amount of resources to spend." Jones said.

"Having said that, Micah enabled us to have four, possibly as many as six players for the future. That's a good trade when you need numbers. I'll take the numbers every time."

While the Cowboys' longtime steward's numbers are accurate, the case can be made that Parsons, who is only one of two players in NFL history to record 12 or more sacks in his first four seasons, is worth four to six players.

What's done is done, though, and Dallas fans won't have to wait long to see how their former first-round pick out of Penn State fares in Green Bay, as the Packers come to town for a Week 4 tilt on Sunday Night Football against the Cowboys.
