CBS Sports' Mike Renner released his second 2026 mock draft on Wednesday morning, and has an Oregon star going No. 12 overall.

Renner predicted the Pittsburgh Steelers would select Ducks' star quarterback Dante Moore as the fourth quarterback off the board and the first Oregon player with the No. 12 overall pick in the first round.

With veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers on a one-year deal, the Steelers could draft their long-term quarterback and either prepare him to start right away, or sign another rental contract to allow him to sit a year.

Dante Moore Predicted to Replace Steelers' Aaron Rodgers

Moore has looked like one of the best quarterbacks in college football through the first four weeks of the season, and he's only a sophomore.

The Oregon star has 962 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and just a single interception through four games.

"Moore has been the breakout star at the quarterback position this season. After starting his career at UCLA, Moore sat behind Dillon Gabriel last year," Renner wrote. "In four games this season, his arm talent and athleticism are on full display. He's averaging over 10.0 yards per attempt so far. If he continues to impress this weekend against Penn State, Moore could even soar higher than this."

Right now, Renner has Oklahoma's John Mateer, LSU's Garrett Nussmeier and Indiana's Fernando Mendoza ahead of Moore.

The Steelers seem like a very likely spot for a quarterback to land in the 2026 NFL Draft. Rodgers in only signed for one year, and who knows what his plans are for 2026.

Pittsburgh drafted Ohio State national champion Will Howard in the sixth round of last year's draft, but he's on injured reserve currently. The Steelers other quarterback options are veteran backups Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson.

Moore is young, but he's displayed all the talent in the world, and could be the future in Pittsburgh. The Steelers haven't been able to find their next franchise signal-caller since Ben Roethlisberger retired.

The Ducks' star quarterback could be the answer in Pittsburgh for years to come.
