Following Oregon's emotional road win over Penn State last week, the Ducks have a bye this weekend.

But you'd be silly to think that means that Dan Lanning or his coaching staff are relaxing.

In fact, Lanning his the road for a cross-country in-person visit for a five-star recruit.

On Friday night, the Oregon head coach was spotted in Mobile, Alabama at the St. Paul's Episcopal (Alabama) High School football game.

That's the home of Oregon five-star edge-rush commit Anthony "Tank" Jones, who has been taking visits.

The main culprits, of late, have been Miami and Texas A&M.

Mario Cristobal's Hurricanes have already hosted the 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge twice this season, while Texas A&M also received a return trip.

Oregon, which recently produced Kayvon Thibodeaux and current star Matayo Uiagalelei, would love a ready-made answer should the latter declare for the NFL draft after the season.

But hanging on to Jones may prove difficult, as both Miami and Texas A&M are putting on a full-court press.

Clearly in anticipation of that fact, Lanning made sure to spend the bye week close to his five-star pledge.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about "Tank" as a prospect:

"Physically imposing pass rusher in possession of a high octane motor that allows him to generate pressures in both a two or three point stance while operating in an odd front. Already north of 230-pounds as a rising senior, Jones displays a collegiate ready frame in conjunction with an explosive lower half that bodes well for his ability to make an impact sooner rather than later at the next level. Although he’s not the most dynamic mover off the edge, the three-sport athlete makes good use of his ability to attack leverage while demonstrating the ability to win with quickness or power at the point of attack. A polished defender with a sneaky athletic profile, Jones appears more geared to add value as a run defender early in his collegiate career while projecting as a high floor 3-4 OLB that can also add situational pass rush ability off the edge in obvious passing downs."
