Brutus understood the assignment.
The Ohio State Buckeyes mascot was positioned near the end zone at Michigan Stadium, not far from the big 'M' that starts the word Michigan spelled across the scoring area.
In Columbus this time of year, the letter 'M' gets crossed out. It's That Team Up North, not Michigan.
And hey, Brutus had an opportunity. Snow was falling in a thin coat across the field.
Brutus used the elements to his advantage. He put a nice big 'X' through the 'M.'

That's just funny and a little bit savage.
If some Michigan folks notice that, they may go remedy it.
But at least for a bit, the Buckeyes had brought a big 'X' with them to Ann Arbor, and it was showing up both in their performance on the field and in the Brutus behavior in the end zone.
