The Hurricanes hold a 30-27 series record.

On Saturday, there are big implications for both teams, both of whom entered the season with lofty expectations. The Hurricanes have started the season as hot as any team in the country, riding high after a top-10 win over Notre Dame and scoring 94 points in their next two games. With quarterback Carson Beck at the helm, Miami enters the game with national championship aspirations.
On the other side, while the Gators have gotten off to a slow start — losing to South Florida and No. 3 LSU in back-to-back weeks — they are still a high-quality opponent. Quarterback D.J. Lagway will be looking to bounce back from a dreadful Saturday night where he threw five interceptions in Death Valley.
A win for the Gators on the road against Miami would go a long way toward turning their season around.
