The fireworks are starting early in July on the recruiting trail, as some of the nation's top high school football prospects are set to come off the board this week.
On Wednesday at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET Pensacola Catholic (Florida) five-star edge-rusher Trenton Henderson will announce his college commitment.
WATCH:
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound defender is rated the nation's No. 28 overall prospect and No. 4 edge-rusher.
Henderson is down to final three of Florida, LSU and Texas, and took official visits to all three since late May.
But heading into decision day, its is believed LSU has emerged as the favorite.
On3 gives the Tigers a 94.2 percent chance of landing Henderson, while 247Sports has just one prediction so far - and it favors LSU.
Overall, LSU's class is ranked No. 14 nationally and consists of 11 pledges, headlined by Hattiesburg (Mississippi) five-star wide receiver Tristan Keys.
Should Henderson choose LSU, he would join Keys as the second five-star pledge in the class and the group would rise to No. 11, leapfrogging Texas, Tennessee and Florida State.
Of course, there's still time - and wiggle room - for Florida or Texas to pull off a big surprise Wednesday.
Who will it be?
We'll all find out Wednesday.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about Henderson as a prospect:
"Sprouting linebacker that can get after the quarterback as he comes screaming around the corner. Size has not been third-party verified, but is believed to be over 6-foot-4 and tipping the scales right around 225 pounds."
"Took a major step forward between sophomore and junior seasons – evoking much more confidence and physicality. Future could very well be in an on-ball role as a two-point edge rusher in an 3-4 look, but is rather comfortable dropping into space and has the chase speed to make stops outside the hashes, which suggests that he could also trigger from an off-ball perch. Ability to transition from speed to power is extremely encouraging at this stage. Same with the play recognition."
"Overall, should be viewed as a potential multi-year impact defender at the Power Four level given how he bends and moves at his size."
