It's decision day for Booker (Florida) five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon - and he'll be making that commitment Sunday at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back is rated the nation's No. 27 overall prospect, No. 2 cornerback and No. 4 player in the state of Florida.
Kennon is down to a star-studded final six of Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, LSU and Miami.
WATCH:
So, who is the favorite?
While Kennon took official visits to Florida (May 16), Miami (May 30), Georgia (June 6) and Florida State (June 13), the Seminoles, who got the last visit, have emerged as the favorites ahead of his commitment.
The 'Noles are predicted to be the five-star recruit's landing spot by both 247Sports and On3.
However, it is worth noting that several of Kennon's finalists are known for pulling off shocking recruiting wins in the final hours, so it's definitely a decision worth watching.
Currently, Kennon is the lone top-5 recruit in the state of Florida who has yet to announce his college decision - and none of the other four have elected to stay home for college.
IMG Academy offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe (USC), Northwestern five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell (Syracuse), American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell (Texas) and Pensacola Catholic linebacker Trenton Henderson (LSU) have all passed on starring for "The Big Three."
If, in fact, Kennon chooses Florida State - or Florida or Miami, for that matter - it would break a slightly concerning trend for Florida's historic three of top recruits leaving the state.
Whoever gets Kennon will be landing a potential shutdown corner.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about him as a prospect:
"Long-levered outside corner that could fit into a variety of different schemes and systems with his size, eyes and ball skills. Needs some technical polish, but athletic markers (4.5 in the 40-yard dash, 6-foot-2 in the high jump) and offensive production signal no shortage of developmental upside, especially with a frame that’s believed to be stretching just over 6-foot-1."
"Has manned-up primarily in a Cover 2 look on Friday nights and showcased the ability to stick his hip on larger wide receivers and turn/run with them. Will get physical as routes progress and does a favorable job of anticipating breaks. Might have picked off just one pass as a junior, but prevented plenty of scores and had a higher success rate in 50-50 situations when he was challenged."
"Serviceable as an open-field tackler, but a semester or two in a developmental lifting group could go a long way when it comes to providing run support. Must keep progressing and working on all the little things that come with playing one of the game’s most difficult positions, but should be viewed as a risk-taking defender with all-conference potential that can shade top weapons and help shutdown potent passing attacks. Traits likely to draw looks from NFL talent evaluators one day."
