College football's Week 8 slate takes fans to Charlottesville, where Washington State (3-3) and No. 19 Virginia (5-1) are set to square off at Scott Stadium on Saturday.

The Cavaliers enter the weekend riding the momentum of a nail-biting 30-27 win over Louisville on October 4. Quarterback Chandler Morris steered the ship with 149 yards through the air on 19-of-31 passing, tossing one touchdown without a turnover.

J’mari Taylor was the engine on the ground, churning out 68 rushing yards and a score while also hauling in six catches. Meanwhile, Cameron Ross made the most of his touches, snagging four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown to keep the Cavs' offense humming.

On the flip side, Washington State is licking its wounds after a tough 24-21 loss to Ole Miss. Zevi Eckhaus was sharp under center, completing 24-of-31 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns.

Kirby Vorhees added some punch in the run game with 88 yards and a trip to the end zone, while Tony Freeman turned into a safety blanket in the passing game, reeling in nine of 11 targets for 90 yards and a score.
