It's a new era in Chapel Hill as Bill Belichick leads the sidelines for North Carolina's football program.
The veteran NFL head coach who won six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots is taking on a new venture at the collegiate level. He spent 29 years as a head coach in the NFL with his last season coming in 2023.
Belichick makes his collegiate debut on Monday, Sep. 1, against TCU. The Horned Frogs are unranked just as the Tar Heels, but it will garner lots of attention. Not only is it Belichick's first game at UNC, but it's the only Division I football game on Monday night.
The matchup will air live on ESPN for a national audience.
