It seems the consistent theme of the 2025 college football season so far is weather delays. Consistently through the first four weeks, we've seen several of them affect several games.
First, the Clemson Tigers a had a nearly two-hour delay against Syracuse. Clemson went into the locker room down 24-14 at halftime, and lost 31-14.
Later on Saturday. Notre Dame's home game against Purdue was also delayed due to lightning right at halftime. Since the delay was so long (nearly two hours), the two sides skipped halftime entirely. Play eventually resumed in South Bend, however.
Here’s what to know about college football's Week 4 weather delays.

6:00 p.m. — Well this is a new one. Apparently the delay will cause this game to essentially skip halftime. There was only 1:28 left in the first half when the game went into a delay:
Update: The weather delay will serve as the halftime break for the game. I.e, when the game resumes, Purdue will have the ball, the teams will play the final 1:31 of the first half, then jump immediately into the second half.

Per Clemson's in-stadium PA: The lighting warning has been lifted, the teams will get on the field at 3:30 pm and play will resume at 3:45 pm. All gates will open shortly (fans who were already in the stadium were allowed to walk back into their seats a bit ago)

We'll see if Clemson has a stronger finish in the second half after the delay.
2:31 p.m. — Clemson trailed Troy 16-3 at halftime, and had won 27-16 after the lengthy weather delay. Some Clemson fans are hoping the same magic can work against Syracuse:
Does Clemson come back and win in the second half after trailing by 10+ with a weather delay? As bad as it is, this is at least familiar territory for them
