Penn State vs FIU predictions, how to watch, odds, spread image

The Penn State Nittany Lions are 1-0 on the young 2025 season, and should be 2-0 after they take on the Florida International University Panthers on Saturday. Penn State's first game of the season was a 46-11 victory over the Nevada Wolfpack, which saw three different Nittany Lions skill players get in the end zone, including two scores from running back Nick Singleton.

Penn State did not cover the spread in its first game of the season, but my best bet was to bet the over of 55.5 and stay away from the spread of -43.5.

Penn State vs FIU betting odds, spread, O/U

The Nittany Lions come into this one as huge favorites once again, which is no surprise, as they're taking on one of the bottom teams in Conference-USA. Penn State quarterback Drew Allar had a solid week one performance against the Wolfpack, completing 22 of 26 pass attempts for 217 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions.

Penn State vs FIU prediction and best bets

Best bet: Penn State -41.5

Penn State is 0-1 against the spread this season, but just one game isn't a big enough sample size to conclude this year's team. So this week, I'll take Penn State to win by a clean six touchdowns. The spread is down a little bit from last week, and the level of competition is potentially a bit worse. Expect this one to be all Nittany Lions, and as much as they're going to score, I also think the defense will give up very few points.

Player prop: Kaytron Allen O 68.5 rushing yards (-114)

Last week, I went with the newcomer Kyron Hudson to score a touchdown, and he did by being the only receiver Drew Allar found in the endzone.

This week, I'm riding with Kaytron Allen going over his rushing prop of 68.5 rushing yards. In week one, Allen and Singleton both had eight carries. Allen was a little more efficient with 5.4 yards per carry, and I expect Penn State to be a little better running the ball this week, and the betting lines reflect that as well.

Both Penn State backs rushing prop is over 65 yards, so the indication is that the Nittany Lions will take the ball out of Allar's hands, not put much on tape, and feed the two running backs for at least the first half.
